Advanced Laser Certification is a stand alone certification that is offered to licensed estheticians that want to enter the field of Cosmetic Lasers.  Students enrolled in the Master Esthetics programs do not need to enroll in this laser certification, as this curriculum is already included in the 1200 & 750 Hour Master Esthetics programs.

Advanced Laser & Injections Certification
This 50 hour course includes 30 hours of theory and 20 hours of clinical application.  The comprehensive curriculum includes:

• History of lasers
• Mechanics of lasers
• Laser and skin physics
• Theory instruction on the following laser technologies
  • Ruby
  • Q-Switched
  • Radio Frequency
• Hands on application of the following laser technologies
  • Alexandrite
  • ND: YAG
  • Diode
  • IPL
  • ER: YAG
  • YSGG (Solid beam and fractional)
  • CO2 Fractional Laser
• Hands on application of the following cosmetic procedures
  • Hair Removal
  • Skin Resurfacing
  • Skin Tightening
  • Skin Lightening (pigmented lesions)
  • Vein therapy
  • Tattoo Removal
• BOTOX and Dermal Fillers (theory and observation)

All classes are taught at Elase Academy, although some services may be observed and practiced in an Elase Medical Spa facility.   Students will be asked to provide up to 3 models for the hands-on applications.  Models will be required to allow before and after photos.  Models will receive services for the cost of the application.
